Cong accuses BJP of spreading lies on ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’

New Delhi, Dec 26 (Agency) The Congress on Monday accused the ruling BJP of spreading lies about the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra-led party MP Rahul Gandhi, which had reached the national capital last week after traversing through several states across the country. “BJP left no stone unturned to spread lies and defame the Bharat Jodo Yatra through its propaganda,” Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinates said while addressing a press conference along with senior party leader Jairam Ramesh at the party headquarters here. Shrinates further claimed, “BJP leaders and its IT cell are spreading lies. Some news channels of the country are also promoting this sponsored lie.”

Accusing the BJP of spreading nine lies about Rahul and Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress spokesperson said,”All these lies of BJP were exposed.” They also accused the BJP-led government at the Centre of “misusing” institutions. “Congress had to go to the Election Commission to present its stand when complaints were made about the use of children on Rahul Gandhi, but on the complaint against the Prime Minister, nothing has been done so far,” they said.
