Shimla, Jan 27 (FN Bureau) As many as 219 roads and four National Highway are snowbound and 382 distribution Transformer Regions are gropping in broad day darkness as normal life is derailed due to recent moderate spell of snowfall. State witnessed two major avalanche in Tinku Nallah of Kinnuar district and Chandarbhaga bank of Lahaul valley also blocked by left bank avalanche. State Disaster Management authority spokesperson confirmed that vehicular traffic couldn’t restored at Tinku Nallah.In a detailed report released for media this morning, SDMA said NH-05 blocked at Tinku Nallah (Pooh) as including NH three others roads are snowbound and avalanche hit in Kinnuar district. An information just received from Lahaul Spiti said another avalanche occurred on NH-003 near Atal Tunnel North Portal in Sub Division Lahaul Friday morning. Due to which the road was blocked and the restoration work is under process.Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 003 ) is open for four by 4 vehicles upto Stingari.
Darcha Shinkula road is closed for all types of vehicles. Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) is open for four by four vehicles from Tandi to Udaipur . Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) is closed from Graphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Rangrik is open for four by four vehicles. Local people and tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in case of snowfall. In Chsmba district seven Subdivision including Tissa, Chsmba, Salooni, Bhattiyat, Bharmour and Dalhousie are cut off as 55 roads are snowbound.136 toads including two NH are cut off from rest of world as 83 roads are blocked in Udaipur, 48 in Lahaul and five in Spiti Subdivision. In Kullu district ten road including NH-3 at Rohtang Pass & NH 305 at Jalori Pass are closed. Six roads are snow bound in Shimla, four in Mandi three in Kinnuar and Sirmaur, two Kangra. 382 DTR are shutdown till Friday in the hill state as 354 DTR are down in Chamba, 15 in Lahaul-Spiti, nine in Kinnuar and three in Una and one Mandi.
Due to prolonged power cut 72 water lifting Scheme are also disrupted in the state most of in Chamba district. It would be mainly dry today and western disturbance likely to effect the state from tomorrow onwards. Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 11.2 and down by 4.2 degres in past 24 hrs. Kalpa in Kinnuar was minus 3.4, Manali zero, Shimla four, Solan, Chamba and Dalhousie 3.5, Dharmshala Dharmshala six, Mandi 5.6, Hamirpur 8, Kangra 7 and Bilaspur ten degrees.
