Moscow, Mar 31 (Bureau) The World Bank has upgraded its forecast for Russia’s economic growth in 2021 to 2.9 percent, and next year it expects the growth to accelerate to 3.2 percent, according to a report on the economy of Europe and Central Asia. According to the Russian Economic Development Ministry, the growth of the Russian economy in 2021 will be 3.3 percent. The World Bank also said Russia’s budget would return to surplus in 2022. It said the poverty rate in the country in 2021 would decrease as compared to 2020, but would exceed pre-pandemic figures until 2022.
