New Delhi, Sep 22 (Agency) The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and cinemas across the country, will welcome moviegoers to spend a day at the movies, with celebratory admission price to mark ‘National Cinema Day’ tomorrow. ‘National Cinema Day’ will be held tomorrow at more than 4000 participating screens and will include cinema screens of PVR, INOX, CINEPOLIS, CARNIVAL, MIRAJ, CITYPRIDE, MUKTA A2, MOVIE TIME, WAVE, M2K, DELITE and many others.
“A record number of movie goers are expected to visit cinemas on Friday, and the response to the pre-sales has been unprecedented,” a statement said. “Participating cinemas in states (including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala) will be making special offers on the National Cinema Day, movie-goers are requested to refer the websites and social media handles of the participating cinemas for these offers and/or exclusions,” it added. ‘National Cinema Day’ celebrates the successful reopening of cinemas and is a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers who made this happen.
