Shahkot, Jun 4 (Agency) The Shahkot police has arrested three drug peddlers with 1 kg heroin and firearms. Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveen Singla and SP Manprit Dhillion said that 1 kilogram heroin, one pistol and a magazine were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Hans Raj alias Hans son of Dara Singh, Balwindar Singh alias Gopi son of Chanann Singh and Kulbir Singh alias Lakha son of Gurdip Singh all resident of Lattainwal village in Kapurthala.
SSP said that a team of Shahkot police was on patrolling duty in areas around Sutlej River Bridge where the accused were intercepted who were travelling in the car (PB-09-AG -9419) and recovered from them 1 kg heroin and firearms SSP said that a case under sections 21(C)/61/85 of NDPS Act and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a car.
