Pune Jan 9 (FN Bureau) The social security cell of crime Branch of Pune has raided a spa center in Lulanagar Area of city for allegedly indulging in prostitution and rescued four women who were victimized by them. The police have arrested the owner and manager of the spa massage center and a case has been registered against them. The senior police inspector of social security cell Mr Vijay Kumar said the case has been registered at Kondhwa Police Station under section 3, 4, 5 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act along with others acts.
He further said that Social Security Department, Crime Branch received confidential information that prostitution is going on in a massage center named Lana Sparsh Spa, which is located in Lulanagar, Kondhwa Pune road. The accused were luring the victim women with money and making them work as prostitutes, said the police. The raid was carried out under the guidance of Pune police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Sandeep Karnik, Joint Commissioner of Police, Ramnath Pokle, Additional Commissioner of Police, Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime, Senior Police Inspector of Social Security cell Mr Vijay Kumhar as well as API Ashwini Patil, API Aniket Pote, Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Ajay Rane, Anna Mane, Pramod Mohite and Pushpendra Chavan.
