Kolhapur, Mar 2 (Agency) Kolhapur Zilla Parishad (ZP) member Rajvardhan Naik-Nimbalkar has alleged that a big corruption took place in ZP’s health department while purchasing corona materials valued at Rs 88 crores purchased with high prices and scammed people of Rs 35 crore. In a press conference here this afternoon, Mr Naik-Nimbalkar said that the scam took place with blessings of top political leaders in which ZP’s health department purchased material for Rs 88 crore and scammed people of nearly Rs 35 crore. Mr Naik-Nimbalkar said that the corona materials had purchased by a committee comprising district collector, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ZP, district health officer, district surgeon and all bills of Rs 88 crores has been paid with signatures of ZP CEO Aman Mittal and Nitin Lohar, contract basis health officer and also demanded additional Rs 45 crore.
The committee purchased materials with leaved out various qualified companies. He detailed prices of materials with actually price Thermal scanner Rs 10,000 (originally priced at Rs 1100), Mask Rs 205 (Rs 14), PPE kit RS 1700 (Rs 350), Bed Rs 12,500 (Rs 7,225) and others. He claimed that there were serious rebuked in audit report also. A memorandum of demanding inquiry committee, has been sent to homeinister Amit Shah, opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrakant Patil and also mailed to state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
