Nashik, Mar 22 (Agency) Nashik police team areested one suspect from Mumbra in Thane district and seized 26 goats from his possession. According to Satpur police on March 17 that the thief broke the lock of the godown and stole 26 goats from the godown in Satpur area .. A case of burglary was registered at Satpur police station on Thursday (Mar. 18). It was clear from the CCTV footage that the thieves had removed the goat from the car. Police Inspector Kishor More directed the crime investigation team to probe the crime. The police took the crime seriously and launched an investigation.
While inspecting the CCTV footage at the toll plaza at Ghoti, the police saw a car with the above number heading towards Mumbai. This made it clear that the thieves had gone in the direction of Mumbai. The team reached Mumbra on the basis of secret information obtained by the police with the help of technical analysis branch tracing the mobile number. From there, the suspect Asif Rashidullah Qureshi (35, resident of Khardi Road, Mumbra) was taken into custody. He confessed to stealing a goat from Satpur. Therefore, the police have seized 26 goats worth about Rs 1.9 lakh from him.
