Haryana police registers case against Punjab Cong MLAs, workers

Chandigarh, Feb 22 (Agency) The Haryana Police have registered a case against the Punjab Congress MLAs and other workers who are going to besiege the Haryana Chief Minister’s House in protest against the Haryana Police’s ban on farmers from going to Delhi. Haryana police arrested Punjab Congress MLAs Sukhwinder Singh Kotli, Virinder Singh Dhillon, Samit Singh, Khushbaz Jattan, Lakhwinder Singh, Chuspinder Bir Chahal, Harman Sekhon, Sikander Boora, Sachin Nain, Udaiveer Dhillon, Surjit Singh, Angad Singh, Sanjeev Sharma, Dr Karnail Singh, and others on Wednesday night.

According to the Haryana police, Punjab Congress MLA Kotli and other leaders were going to besiege the Haryana CM’s house in protest against stopping the farmers from going to Delhi. They had flags in their hands and were shouting slogans. ASI Praveen Kumar saw that people were going towards CM House with flags. When they tried to stop them, the MLAs came on the road. Due to this, people faced difficulties in commuting. The Haryana Police personnel tried to stop the Congress leaders, but they had reached near the CM House. Haryana police have taken the Congress leaders into custody. Police are investigating the matter.
