Amroha, Feb 24 (Agency) Two friends were murdered and their bodies recovered in the Gajraula area here, police said on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police (SP) Suniti here said that the bodies of Kasmabad resident Ram Niwas (45) and Sufiyana (38) were found lying in a field near a liquor store situated at Mohammadabad. Police said that while one of them was murdered with a sharp weapon, another could have been strangled to death.
Both the bodies were lying 500 meter apart. They were friends with each other and had left home to go to the field on Tuesday. One Sultan, who is a liquor contractor, had threatened them and snatched away their mobile, two days back. The families have apprehended Sultan as the person behind the murder. Further investigation is underway.
