New Delhi, Jan 19 (Bureau) MSME clinics’ guidance to entrepreneurs of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises(MSME) will be a highlight of Saturday’s ‘Vyavasaya Sangamam-2023’ in the city, according to organisers. No less than 30 industry-associated bodies of the central and state government are assigned with this mission at the January 21 conclave which aims to propel the tempo set in by Kerala’s ‘Year of Enterprises’ project, a release said. Through the clinics, the Department of Industries and Commerce gives a single platform for advice on starting business ventures or/and expanding them. The Vyavasaya Sangamam, at Kaloor International Stadium Ground in Kaloor, will also see kiosks by banks, which will provide investor loans and grants.
The day-long conclave, which is to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, will be addressed by Ministers P. Rajeeve (Industries and Law), K N. Balagopal (Finance), M.B. Rajesh (Local Self Governments and Excise) and K. Rajan (Revenue), besides Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan, Kochi Mayor Adv M. Anilkumar, Members of Parliament and MLAs, besides top bureaucrats. The meet will discuss the industry-friendly climate prevailing in Kerala and collate ideas as well as opinions on entrepreneurship in the state. It will also facilitate support to marketing facilities after launching business, besides providing them help on the technicalities and financial matters.
Besides the MSME clinics, the conclave will feature a marketing festival at the taluk level. Further, a theme pavilion by the Department of Industries and Commerce will showcase products by new enterprises, besides 75-plus stalls by the government and private stakeholders who can advise on formalities to start businesses. They include Udyam Registration, government’s e-market portals such as Jem Registration, Kerala e-Market, K-Swift and PM FME (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme), besides ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), Amazon and Flipkart from the e-commerce sector. The entrepreneurship-promoting stalls at the conclave will include National Institute for Inter Disciplinary Science and Technology, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kerala Agricultural University, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction, Bureau of Indian Standards, National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Marine Products Exports Development Authority, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Exports Development Authority, Federation of Indian Exports Organisations, National Coir Research and Management Institute, Technology Evaluation, Centre Coffee Board (Kattappana) and MSME Development Institute (Thrissur).
The other stalls include that of PSUs such as Oushadhi, Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence, Steel Industrial Forging, Traco Cables and Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Company. ‘Vyavasaya Sangamam-2023’ expects to bring together more than 10,000 entrepreneurs, industry leaders, administrators and other stakeholders to chart out a future course of action aimed at consolidating the state’s position as an investor-friendly destination. It is being organised in the wake of the Kerala government’s ‘Year of Enterprises’ project surpassing its target within eight months by creating 1,18,509 enterprises with an investment of Rs 7,261.54 crore while generating 2,56,140 jobs.
