Mumbai, Dec 7 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Monday advanced by 142 pts to 45,221.59, at a new peak in opening session Material, Metal, Energy and Health Care stocks. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too moved up by 47.85 pts to 13,306.40. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 45,291.56 and 45,024.47 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,322.25 and 13,241.95 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.73 pc and Small Cup by 1.05 pc respectively. In 30 scrips 20 advanced while 10 declined. The gainers were Sun Pharma by 2.27 pc to Rs 581.75, ONGC by 2.06 pc to Rs 91.70, Bharti Airtel by 1.67 pc to Rs 502.15, Hind Unilever by 1.58 pc to Rs 222.70 and ITC by 1.46 pc to Rs 201.05. The losers were HDFC Bank by 1.32 pc to Rs 1366.90, Kotak Bank by 1.19 pc to Rs 1824, Nestle India by 1.11 pc to Rs 17,627.75 and Titan by 0.87 pc to Rs 1424.90.
