Sensex up 267.47 points during week

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) The BSE Sensex rose by 267.47 points or 0.61 pc to settle at 44,149.72 in a week under review on positive cues from global peers. The market stocks were upbeat as COVID-19 vaccine progress boosted sentiment and US President-elect Joe Biden was given the go-ahead to begin his White House transition. Nifty gained 109.90 points or 0.85 pc to settle at 12,968.95. The BSE Mid-Cap advanced 478.15 or 2.91 pc to settle at 16,914.65. The BSE Small-Cap jumped 692.60 points or 4.28 pc to settle at 16,875.15.

On Monday the Sensex, rose 194.90 points to settle at 44,077.15. Nifty advanced 67.40 points to settle at 12,926.45. On Tuesday the Sensex, advanced by 445.87 points to settle at 44,523.02. Nifty advanced 128.70 points to settle at 13,055.15. On Wednesday it was nosedived by 694.92 points to settle at 43,828.10. Nifty fell 196.75 points to settle at 12,858.40. On Thursday it bounced back 431.64 points to settle at 44,259.74. Nifty spurted 128.60 points to settle at 12,987 as the market was volatile as traders rolled over positions in the F&O segment from November series to December series. The November 2020 F&O contracts expired on Thursday. On Friday the Sensex fell 110.02 points to settle at 44,149.72. Nifty 50 declined 18.05 points to settle at 12,968.95.
