Mumbai, Dec 17 (Agency) The Indian equity market continued to remain robust as the BSE Sensex on Thursday opened at life time high at 46,774.42, up by 108 pts following gains in Materials, Energy, Finance and Health Care stocks. The Nifty too rose by 31 pts to 13,713.55.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 46,781.75 and 46,627.60 pts respectively. The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,718.45 and 13,673.55 respectively. The Mid Cap declined by 0.47 pc and Small Cup by 0.55 pc respectively. In 30 scrips 13 advanced, 16 declined and one unchanged. The gainers were HDFC by 1.74 pc to Rs 2466.15, Ultracemco by 1.29 pc to Rs 5180, IndusInd Bank by 1.27 pc to Rs 936.25, Bajaj finance by 1.17 pc to Rs 5203.45 and Powergrid by 1.07 pc to Rs 193.25. The losers were Hind Unilever by 1.14 pc to Rs 2317.85, ITC by 1.12 pc to Rs 211.95, Asian Paints by 0.83 pc to Rs 2560.35 and Bajaj Auto by 0.79 pc to Rs 3277.
