Mumbai, Dec 9 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday hit a record high of 45,891.04, up by 283 pts in opening trade as buying was witnessed across the board. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too gained by 85 pts to 13,478.55.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 45,965.93 and 45,792.01 pts respectively. The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,494.85 and 13,449.60 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.61 pc and Small Cup by 0.65 pc respectively. In 30 scrips 22 advanced while 8 declined. The gainers were ITC by 2.22 pc to Rs 206.95, Reliance industries by 1.56 pc to Rs 2024.90, HCL Technologies by 1.41 pc to Rs 876.45, NTPC by 1.17 pc to Rs 99.35 and ONGC by 1.05 pc to Rs 91.70. The losers were Titan by 0.31 pc to Rs 1429, Ultracemco by 0.29 pc to Rs 5200, Tata Steel by 0.21 pc to Rs 612.80 and ICICI Bank by 0.20 pc to Rs 507.20.
