Kochi, Mar 7 (FN Representative) Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is joining the #ChooseToChallengesocial media campaign allied with the International Women’s Day, by organising a day-long programme on March 8 encouraging female community to speak against gender inequalities prevalent in society. The event, at the amphitheatre of the Integrated Startup Complex in Kalamassery on Monday, is being held to promote a culture of protest against gender-related injustices instead of the age-old practice of hushing them up, organisers said.

KSUM Chief Executive Officer Dr Tapan Rayaguru, actress Kukku Parameswaran, AWE (Achieving Women Equity) Funds founder and Chair Ms Seema Chaturvedi, Weavers Village founder Sobha Viswanath, Me Met Me Wellness founder CEO Nuthan Manohar, Thanmatra Innovations Co-Founder Dr Anjana Ramkumar, Prof Dalhia Mani of IIM-Bangalore, Advocate Santhi Priya of Kerala High Court, Channel I’m Founder Nisha Krishnan and media professionals Nisha Purushothaman and Geetha Jayaraman will be attending the event forenoon.
Dr Ramalatha Marimuthu of the IEEE Computer Society, Leopard Tech Labs Director Prof Rino Laly Jose and Dr Nirmala Padmanabhan, Associate Professor at St Theresa’s College, Ernakulam will deliver talks in the afternoon. There will be an Investor Mock Pitching Workshop exclusively for women startups to make them aware of the things investors look during pitching, pitching etiquettes, what not to do and how to present their product effectively. KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state. It undertakes planning, establishment and management of technology business incubators and accelerators so as to promote technology-based ventures by creating the infrastructure and environment.
