Washington/New Delhi, Jan 20 (FN Bureau) The deadly COVID-19 pandemic continues its grip with it claiming more than 20.56 lakhs lives and 9.61 crore infected worldwide. According to the data released by John Hopkins University’s Center for Science and Engineering (CSSE), Coronairus has killed over 20.56 lakh in 191 countries and more than 9.61 crore have been infected so far and over 5.30 crore been cured of this pandemic.
United states is the most affected country as the number of cases crossed 2.42 crore, while more than four lakh patients have died. The number of infected in India has reached over 1.05 crore, people who have been cured has increased to over 1.02 crore while the death toll has reached more than 1.52 lakhs. The number of people affected by the virus in Brazil has crossed 85.73 lakhs while more than 2.11 lakh patients have died due to this epidemic. The number of people infected with corona in Russia has exceeded 35.74 lakhs while 65,632 people have died. More than 34.76 lakh people have been infected in the UK and 91,643 have died. In France, over 29.96 lakh people have been affected by the virus and 71,482 patients have died. In Italy, more than 24 lakh people have been infected with the virus so far and 82,554 people have died. So far more than 23.99 lakh people have been affected by it in Turkey.
So far, more than 23.36 lakh people have been infected and 53,7694 people have died due to this epidemic in Spain. In Germany, the number of people affected by the virus has crossed 20.59 lakh and 47,263 people have died. In Colombia, more than 19.23 lakh people have been affected and 49,004 have lost their lives. In Argentina, more than 18.07 lakh people have been affected by Covid-19 and 45,832 people have died. More than 16.41 lakh people have been infected with Corona in Mexico and more than 140,000,000 people have died. In Poland, more than 14.39 lakh cases of infection have been reported and 33,407 people have died. Corona-infected cases have reached 13.56 lakhs in South Africa and 38,288 people have died. So far, more than 13.42 lakh people have been infected by the epidemic in Iran and 56,973 people have died. In Ukraine more than 12.06 lakh people have been affected by this virus while 21,847 people have died.
In Peru, more than 10.60 lakh people have been infected by the virus so far and 38,770 people have died. In the Netherlands, more than 9.30 lakh people have been affected by Corona and 13,157 people have died. More than 9.17 lakh people have been affected by the corona in Indonesia and the death toll has reached 26,282. So far, more than 8.91 lakh people have been affected by Corona in the Czech Republic and 14,449 people have died. over 7.19 lakh people have been infected in Canada, while 18,130 people have died. More than 6.95 lakh people have been infected by Corona in Romania while 17,271 people have died. In Belgium, more than 6.78 lakh people have been infected while 20,435 people have died. More than 6.73 lakh people have been affected by Covid-19 in Chile and 17,547 people have lost their lives. The number of infected in Iraq has crossed 6.09 lakh and the death toll has reached 12,953. Israel has overtaken Portugal in terms of infected and more than 5.58 lakh people have been affected by this epidemic and 4,044 people have died. More than 5.28 lakh people have been affected in Corona in Bangladesh while 7,992 people have died. In Sweden, more than 5.33 lakh people have been infected by the epidemic and 10,323 people have died. So far, more than 5.21 lakh people have been infected with Corona in Pakistan and 11,055 people have died.
