AFCAT 2 Recruitment Notification 2022: Apply Here for 283 Commissioned Officer Posts.
Indian Air Force (IAF) has opened the registration link for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) which is scheduled to be held 26 August, 27 August and 28 August 2022for 02/2022 today i.e. on 01 June 2022 for all the candidates who wish to join as Commissioned Officer. AFCAT 2 Online Application Form will be available till 30 June 2022 on afcat.cdac.in.
The course will commence in July 2023 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. The vacancies are also available for grant of PC/SSC for the NCC Special Entry Scheme (for the flying branch) and For Meteorology Entry. A total of 283 vacancies are available for the course 02/2022.

- Flying Branch – Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

- Logistics – Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)
- NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Dec 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2. Graduates with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Age Limit:
- Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2023 i.e. born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2023 i.e. born between 02 July1997 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).
AFCAT 2 Selection Process 2022
Candidates who submit their applications will be called for:
- AFCAT written examination
- Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test
- Group tests / Interview.

AFCAT 2 2022 Syllabus
There will be questions from:
- English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases.
- General Awareness – History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.
- Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability

Candidates can download the Admit Card from the website https://afcat.cdac.in and will also receive admit card on their registered email ID. - Click “CANDIDATE LOGIN’’ on the Home page- leads to AFCAT Sign-in
- On the next page, applicants click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE”.
- Sign Up: Creation of Log-in ID and applicant will receive a password in his/her registered email id.
- After successful registration, sign-in with registered email id and system generated password.
- Reset Password- Log-Out (candidates must remember their login ID and password for future use during the examination process).
- Fresh Log-in.
- Selection of Entry: “AFCAT”; “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH”.
- Click “INSTRUCTIONS”. Read Instructions carefully.
- Acknowledgement of having read and understood instructions- Check box to proceed to next stage.
