Mumbai, Nov 17 (Representative)- The equity market remained an all time highs for another session on Tuesday, as the Sensex ended at 43,952.71, up by 314.73 pts on the strength of Bankex, Finance, Metal and Capital Goods stocks amid strong Asian Market. The Nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 93.95 pts at 12,874.20 pts. The day opened in green, touching 44K level to 44,095.85, surging by 458 pts. During the day it was spurted to 44,161 16, up 524 pts, days high before closing at 43,952.71, advancing by 314.73 pts from its previous close. The sensex registered days high and low at 44,161.16 and 43,699.22 pts respectively. The Nifty recorded days high and low at 12,934.05 and 12,797.10 pts respectively. The sectoral indices that supported the market were Bankex, Finance, Industrials and Capital Goods stocks. The scrips that glittered were Tata Steel, SBI, HDFC Bank, Bajaj finance and Axis Bank. However, selling in NTPC, ONGC, HCL Technologies, Infosys and Hind Unilever capped from further gains, broker informed. The Mid Cap rose by 1.08 pc and Small Cap by 0.88 pc. With today’s rally, the market capitalisation (m-cap) of BSE-listed companies crossed Rs 170 trillion to Rs 170.59 trillion. In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
