Hyderabad/Delhi, June 24 (FN Bureau) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRSP working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday strongly criticised the Central government’s “lack of support” for crucial development projects in Hyderabad. In a strongly worded address at a press conference in Delhi, KTR, the son of Chief Minister KCR, highlighted the stalled Metro Rail expansion plans, the repeated appeals made by the state government, and the failure of both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress in fostering national progress and other crucial issues. Expressing disappointment, the Minister pointed out that despite the significant growth and accomplishments of Telangana State over the past nine years, the Central government’s contribution to Hyderabad’s development has been negligible.
He highlighted the State government’s repeated appeals to the centre for cooperation in the growth of various sectors in Hyderabad. However, the Minister expressed dissatisfaction at the complete lack of contribution from the centre to Hyderabad’s development. The Minister emphasised the urgent need for collaboration between the State and Central governments to foster growth in sectors such as IT, Aerospace, Defence, Pharma, and Life Sciences in Hyderabad. The Minister also addressed the appeals made to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, urging him to expedite transfer of defence lands for road development projects in and around Hyderabad.
