Hamirpur (HP), May 22 (FN Agency) Historians will find the unsung heroes of freedom in Himachal Pradesh and responsibility of listing the records of the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle across the country lies on historians located in different parts of India. he Ministry of Culture, Government of India has entrusted this responsibility to some historians of the country, who will complete the data in three months and hand it over to the government. In this context, a letter from the Ministry of Culture has been issued by Dr. Sanjay Garg, Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Culture, Government of India to collect the information about the unsung heroes of Himachal Pradesh. he Ministry of Culture has appointed prominent historians across the country. This work has been entrusted to the Central University of Dharamshala and two historians will carry out this work as research assistants.
Within three months, a team of these three historians will compile the records of the unsung heroes of Himachal Pradesh and give them to the Ministry of Culture. Dr. Raghavendra Yadav said under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, it has been decided to collect the records of the unsung heroes involved in the freedom struggle from across the country and publish them in one place through the Ministry of Culture. This will create a distinct identity for the heroes of freedom. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma said Himachal Pradesh has been a pioneer in the freedom struggle, in which innumerable patriots of this hill state have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. He said there are such freedom heroes in the state, about whom very little information is available at the national level, so under this project, we will try to present the works of all such unsung heroes. Dr. Rajkumar said a plan was being made to prepare a list of unsung heroes of all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh. Notably, all three young historians have good knowledge of the history of Himachal Pradesh.
