Ambassa, Jan 06 (FN Representative) A Lower Division Clerk of a local school was booked for misappropriation of over six lakhs of rupees from Mid Day Meal fund forging the signature of the DDO in the bordering subdivision of Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai today.
According to the police and school authority, the LDC of local Gandacharra Class XII School identified as Arnab Chakraborty forged the signature of Assistant Headmaster cum DDO Khajendra Tripura and withdrawn over six lakhs of rupees from Mid Day Meal account of school between August and December last year. Recently, the matter disclosed. Then the LDC produced his written statement in front of Deputy Inspector of Schools, and schools teachers on 1st of January admitting the forgery. He also sought time up to 3rd of January to repay the amount but failed.
