RJD’s Goa unit merged with JDU

New Delhi, Oct 26 (Representative) The entire state unit of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Goa merged into the Janata Dal United (JDU) on Tuesday, the JDU said. According to a statement issued by the JDU, Ahamad Kadar, who was the chief of RJD’s Goa unit, along with other office-bearers of the state, joined the JDU at a ceremony here in the presence of its general secretary Afaque Ahmad Khan.

The statement said on the recommendation of Goa state unit in-charge Harsvardhan Singh, Kadar was nominated as the president of the Goa unit of JDU. The statement added that it would strengthen and expand the base of JDU in Goa at grassroot level, and add a “new beginning” for upcoming Goa assembly polls.
