New Delhi, Sep 23 (Agency) Delhi Police have arrested a 31-year-old woman, who is known as Lady Don in Shillong, from Meghalaya for allegedly supplying illegal ganja, police said on Thursday. The accused has been identified as Redalin Nongbet hails from Laban Saroage in Meghalaya. Police had seized a 43 kg illegal ganja and arrested two men in May from Delhi, during police questioning they spilled the beans about her involvement in supply of contraband.
That time police came to know about Nongbet who was allegedly sending contraband through cargo from Shillong in Parcels having Mark Turmeric. And she received cash of illegal gaja sent by the accused in her bank account, Santosh Kumar Meena, DCP, Dwarka Delhi, said. As per details of the Call Detail Record (CDR) and bank account opening form, search was made but she was evading her arrest. On the basis of secret information, the police team had reached Shillong and with the help of technical surveillance they nabbed her, police said.
