CBI files case against a pvt company, MD, Directors

New Delhi, Sep 23 (Representative) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday registered a case against a private company including managing director, directors, guarantors for causing an alleged loss of Rs 192.48 crore to Bank of India. CBI statement said. As per CBI statement, the agency received a complaint from Bank of India against a private company, Borrower Company, and others including managing director, directors, guarantors and unknown public servants for causing an alleged loss of Rs 192.48 crore to Bank of India.

The accused company was said to have been engaged in activities relating to post production services in the entertainment and media industry. It was alleged in the complaint that the accused had cheated the Bank of India by submitting fabricated, inflated and bogus invoices without having any genuine business transactions for availing the loan funds and thereafter diverting the same, the agency said. Searches were conducted at 2 locations in Delhi at the premises of the accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents and articles. The probe is ongoing in this case, CBI said.
