Haryana police nabs criminal with Rs 2 lakh bounty

Chandigarh, Sep 16 (Agency) Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a wanted criminal, carrying a reward of Rs two lakh, from Rohtak district and recovered a pistol and four cartridges from his possession. A Haryana Police spokesperson on Thursday informed that the arrested accused was identified as Rohit Ruhal alias Bacchi, a resident of district Panipat. Rohit alongwith his aides had opened fire on Inspector Sonu Malik with the intention to kill him in Gurugram, in which the Inspector was seriously injured.

His name had also cropped up in the kidnapping case of Panipat Refinery manager, in which the accused was still absconding. Police has announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for any information leading to his arrest. Rohit was apprehended by a team of STF Hisar from police station IMT Rohtak area. Further probe is underway.
