Puducherry, Aug 17(Agency) Lawspet police on Tuesday arrested two persons and recovered stolen jewellery worth around Rs 15 lakh. Inspector of Lawspet police Radjakumar told news persons that they arrested Iyyanar of Lawspet and Abinesh of Kottakuppam in a theft case that occurred in a house on Nehruvil Nagar, Lawspet. The recovered items included 36 sovereigns of gold, 1/4 kg of silver and Rs 18,000 in cash. The theft had occurred on the wee hours of Tuesday. The culprits managed to enter the house much earlier after they came to known that jewellery items were kept at the house for a marriage purpose, Radjakumar said .
