Special CBI court orders day to day hearing in Doranda Treasury Case of Fodder Scam from Aug 13

Ranchi, Aug 11 (Agency) In signs of fresh trouble for RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav a special CBI court has ordered day to day hearing in the Doranda Treasury Case of the Fodders Scam from August 13. Case number 47A/96 of the Fodder Scam is in connection with fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda Treasury in which a total of 110 accused are facing trial.

A total of 77 accused had pleaded before the court that hearing in the case should be deferred till physical court commences as there were large numbers of accused in the case and the danger of Coronavirus still looming large. Special Public Prosecutor of the CBI BMP Singh said that this was a very old case and large number of people are involved. He said from High Court to Supreme Court has directed that such cases should be disposed off as soon as possible.
