Mumbai, Aug 3 (FN Agency) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday ended all time high at 53,823.36, surging 872.73 pts following gains in Telecom, FMCG, Auto and Bankex stocks amid positive Asian Market. The Nifty rose by 245.60 pts at 16,130.75. The day opened on a strong note at 53,125.97, up by 175 pts. During the day, it was zoomed 937 pts to 53,887.98, days high before closing at 53,823.36, rallied 872.73 pts from its previous close. The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,887.98 and 53,088.35 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 16,146.90 and 15,914.35 pts respectively. The sectoral indices that shone were Telecom, Auto, FMCG, Finance and Bankex stocks. The scrips that glitters were Titan by 4.16 pc to Rs 1843.95, a star gainer followed by HDFC, Nestle India, IndusInd Bank and Ultracemco. The Mid Cap rose by 0.19 pc and Small Cap by 0.23 pc. In 30 scrips, 27 advanced while 3 declined. Asian Market rose as Nikkei went up by 1.60 pc followed by Taiwan by 0.29 pc, Kospi by 0.44 pc and Jakarta by 0.56 pc.
