Bhubaneswar, Jul 4 (Representative) Police on Sunday seized 800 kg Ganja worth around Rs 78 lakh from Mali Dhepaguda village under Gudari Police station of Rayagada district and arrested six persons. Bisam Cuttack SDPO Akash Sahu said acting on a tip off, the Police team conducted a raid and seized 7.8 quintals of ganja. The contraband packed in plastic bags was seized while being loaded into a truck.
Police also seized the truck, a tractor and an auto rickshaw from the spot. The truck was on its way from Visakhapatnam to Ajmer in Rajasthan. Further investigation is on to find out the involvement of others in the case.
