Mumbai, Dec 4 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Friday opened at a new peak at 44,665.91, rising by 33 pts ahead of RBI Monetary policy today. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too moved up by 44 pts to 13,177.40.
The stocks like Materials, Energy, Finance and Utilities boosted the market. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 44,847.44 and 44,665.81 pts respectively. The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,204.50 and 13,164.65 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.84 pc and Small Cup by 0.76 pc respectively. In 30 scrips, 26 advanced while 4 declined. The gainers were Ultracemco by 4.52 pc to Rs 5113.40, LT by 2.82 pc to Rs 1156.80, M & M by 1.54 pc to Rs 7859.10 and ONGC by 1.24 pc to Rs 89.80. The sole loser was Sun Pharma by 0.01 pc to Rs 548.
