Ashok Panda PRCI Odisha Chairman

Bhubaneswar, 2 Dec (FN Buerau) Dr Ashok Kumar Panda has taken over as the Chairman of Public Relations Council of India and Young Communicators’ Club for Odisha State from December 1, 2020. Chairman Emeritus of PRCI M.B. Jayaram has nominated him and the National President, PRCI Dr Vinay Kumar and Zonal Chairman, East R.N.Mahapatra has congratulated him for the new assignment. Dr Panda is the first batch of Master of Journalism from Banaras Hindu University and first class gold medalist in B.J & M.C. from Berhampur University and a Ph.D in Development Communication. He has over three decades of experience in media, PR & HR and was holding key positions both in The Times of India Group and Sanmarg. Dr Panda was the Visiting Professor of Ravenshaw University for three years, a Visiting Fellow in the University of Oxford for one academic year and also a Visiting Scholar in the University of Minnesota, U.S.A for one term. He conducts training programmes in Indian Railways, NTPC, NALCO, Coal India, Indian Oil Corporation and nationalized banks at regular intervals and a Visiting Faculty in Utkal University and National Institute of Fashion Technology. He is also the Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan Rourkela Kendra and a past president and active member of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar. Along with him Dr Latha T.S., Ashis Tayal and Ashim Ray Chowdhury have also been nominated as the PRCI State Heads for Karnataka, Maharastra and West Bengal.
