Mumbai, Dec 1 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday advanced by 286 pts to open at 44,435.83 as fresh buying was witnessed in Materials, Energy, Finance, FMCG and Health Care stocks. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too moved up by 48 pts to 13,017.70. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 44,470.26 and 44,118.10 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,064.20 and 12,962.80 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.34 pc and Small Cup by 0.66 pc respectively. In 30 scrips 19, 10 declined while 1 remained unchanged. The gainers were Ultracemco by 2.07 pc to Rs 4902, Infosys 2.04 pc to Rs 1123.05, IndusInd Bank by 1.74 pc to Rs 872.55, Powergrid by 1.48 pc to Rs 195.35 and Sun Pharma by 1.38 pc to Rs 518.60. The losers were Kotak Bank by 1.46 pc to Rs 1870.40, Nestle India by 0.73 pc to Rs 17,528.70, Axis Bank by 0.63 pc to Rs 498.30 and M& M by 0.63 pc to Rs 598.30.
