Mumbai, Jan 4 (Agency) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are et to fly Rihabh Pant from Dehradun to Mumbai for further treatment. The Board of Control for Cricket in India have made all the neceary arrangement to hift India wicket-keeper Rihabh Pant to Mumbai. Rihabh, who i currently receiving treatment for hi injurie at Max Hopital, Dehradun following a car accident on December 30, will be brought to Mumbai inan air ambulance, BCCI ecretary Jay hah in a tatement on Wedneday aid. “He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hopital and Medical Reearch Intitute and will be under the direct uperviion of Dr Dinhaw Pardiwala, Head – the Centre for port Medicine, and Director – Arthrocopy & houlder ervice at the hopital. Rihabh will undergo urgery and ubequent procedure for ligament tear and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout hi recovery and rehabilitation,” hah aid.
The Board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery proce of Rihabh and willprovide him with all the upport he need during thi period, he added. Pant wa involved in a road accident in the wee hour of December 30 a he wa driving from Roorkee to New Delhi. Eyewitnee and video that urfaced later howed Pant’ car had caught fire but he wa able to ecape. The BCCI confirmed that the left-hander had uffered injurie to hi head, back and feet. He had two cut on hi forehead, a ligament tear in hi right knee and ha alo hurt hi right writ, ankle, toe and ha uffered abraion injurie on hi back. Pant wa firt admitted to akham Hopital near Delhi before being hifted to Max Hopital in Dehradun after hi condition wa tabilied.Pant wa a part of India’ Tet erie whitewah againt Bangladeh and wa due to report to the NCA in Bengaluru for trength and conditioning ahead of the all-important Border-Gavakar erie againt Autralia that commence next month.
