Renowned wrestler Dushyant Sharma felicitates Int’l grapplers Punia, Jatinder at JammuJammu, Dec 16 (Agency) Renowned wrestler from Jammu and Kashmir Dushyant Sharma felicitated International wrestlers including Olympian medalist Bajrang Punia, who paid a visit to his residence here on Thursday. A handout issued here said that Olympics Bronze Medal Winner in Tokyo Bajrang Punia and Jatinder Kumar, 74 kg Asian Championship, Silver Medalist along with other wrestlers of national repute this morning visited the residence of Dushyant Sharma, who is also Secretary General, J&K Olympics Association and former President Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
Dushyant Sharma is also a former international bronze medalist in the Takthi World Wrestling Championship. The wrestlers discussed development and promotion of sports particularly wrestling in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Later, the handout said that both Bajrang Punia and Jatinder Kumar visited Bajrangi Akhara situated at Shalamar Road in the heart of the Jammu City. The professionals shared the latest techniques of grappling with the wrestlers at Bajrangi Akhara. However, Dushyant Sharma flanked by other wrestlers honored them by presenting a shawal and a momento wishing them luck for their future endeavors especially 2024 Olympics to be held at Paris.
