Mumbai, June 28 (Agency) Former Indian cricket captain Ajinkya Rahane emphasised the importance of advanced treatment for injuries in enhancing athletic performance during the inauguration of a sports injury clinic at Fortis Hospital on Friday. “As athletes striving for peak performance, we push our bodies to the limit and injuries are inevitable. But having access to advanced treatment after injury makes a positive impact on performance,” Rahane remarked at the ceremony.
He praised the administration of Fortis Hospital for their initiative, stating, “In such situations, there should be sports injury clinics. I congratulate the administration of Fortis Hospital for taking the initiative in starting this clinic.” Rahane also reflected on his experience following the Indian team’s low point of being bowled out for 36 runs in a match, leading to an eventual series win in 2021. “I concentrated on my future matches after the Indian team was bundled out for 36, and we eventually won the series,” he recalled.
