PM celebrates Gold medal in Women’s Archery Compound Team event at Asian Games

New Delhi, Oct 5 (Agency) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand on winning the Gold medal in Women’s Archery CompoundTeam event at the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou. “India’s Women Archers win the Gold Medal in the Compound Team event! Congratulations toJyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand! Their flawless performance, focus,and dedication have made our nation incredibly proud,” the Prime Minister posted on X.

“This victory is a testament to their exceptional skill and teamwork,” he added. The Indian archery contingent bagged their second gold medal at the Asian Games 2023 as the women’s compound team won 230-229 against Chinese Taipei in the final on Thursday. With scores tied at the beginning of the deciding end, India took advantage of taking the first shot and raced to 230 points. Chinese Taipei needed a perfect 30 from its final three shots but could manage only 29.
