Chennai, Oct 10 (FN Agency) After Chennai and Salem, Super Kings Academy(SKA) expanded its wings with the inauguration of its next cricket facilityat Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni inaugurated the SKA atthe MS Dhoni Global School in Hosur on Monday.MS Dhoni Global School is the first franchise-owned SKA in India. SKA, currently located in two centres – Chennai and Salem – will getunderway in Hosur from January 2023, a SKA release here said. CSKCL CEO K.S.Viswanathan said “We are excited about this newjourney. When we launched the Super Kings Academy in two centresduring April this year, we wanted to spread our wings to other parts ofthe state and country as well.” “Glad that we now have a centre here in Hosur.
The presence of ourcharismatic skipper Dhoni will definitely inspire each and everyonehere”, he said, adding, “We have always wanted to give back to thesport and this is a great opportunity for us to share our experienceand nurture the future generation of cricketers. “Viswanathan said “we will also be relaunching Junior Super Kingsthis year. Initiatives like SKA and Junior Super Kings will help discovermore talents across Tamil Nadu. “Speaking on the occasion, Dhoni said “Whenever I go to any school,it’s like a time machine…I straight away go back to the time I spent atmy school. I always believe it’s one of the best times you can have.” “There are studies, games…but the time that you spend at schoolnever comes back.
You always have fond memories. You makefriends over here that will stay with you for a very long time”, he said. “But what is also important is that school is the period where yourcharacter develops…it’s the small characteristics that you want tomake them strong…simple things such as…you want to be punctual…you want to be disciplined…you want to respect the elders andteachers…you want to keep learning everyday. Always felt schoolwas the period where once you have a strong character, it stayswith you for a very long time and it actually defines you”, the CSKskipper said. “Make the most of the time that you have right now. Make the mostof all the infrastructure that is around you”, he said.
