Mandhana, Jhulan slip in ODI rankings

Dubai, Feb 15 (Agency) Veteran Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami and batter Smriti Mandhan dropped to the fourth and eighth spots respectively in the ICC women’s One-Day rankings released on Tuesday. Mandhana slipped four spots to be placed at the eighth position with 696 points. Goswami dropped two places from the second spot and sits at the fourth with 718 points. Indian ODI skipper Mithali Raj retained the second place with 744 rating points, just 5 points behind Australia’s Alyssa Healy, who topped the ODI ranking chart with 749 points.

New Zealand’s Amy Satterthwaite has overtaken Australia’s Beth Mooney and is third with 730 points. Mooney slipped to the sixth with 705 ratings. Tammy Beaumont (England) and Meg Lanning (Australia) are ranked fourth and fifth respectively. In the T20I rankings, Beth Mooney is back as the top batter with captain Meg Lanning also gaining a slot to reach the second position. Indian opener Shafali Verma dropped to the third in the list. In the bowling department, Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn of England are ranked first and second. Shabnim Ismail (South Africa) and Deepti Sharma of India are placed third and fourth respectively.
