Manchester City retains Premier League crown

Manchester, May 23 (Agency) Manchester City retained the Premier League title after defeating Aston Villa 3-2 at home on the last day of the season. Pep Guardiola’s side clinched the crown with 93 points, one ahead of Liverpool to lift its 8th league title. City came from 2-0 down to register 3-2 win against Aston Villa. Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace to help city win the coveted title. On the final day, Liverpool defeated Wolves 3-1 at Anfield, but it was not enough for Reds.

Meanwhile, Arsenal thrashed Everton 5-1 but failed to finish in a top-4 as Tottenham Hotspur registered a comprehensive 5-0 win over Norwich City to finish with 71 points. Manchester United ended the season at 6th place after losing its away match 0-1 to Crystal Palace.
