Chennai, Sep 19 (Agency) The first ever WTA Women Tennisevent ended on a eventful note with Linda Fruhvirtova of Czech Republic winning the title in three tough sets at the SDAT Stadium here tonight. In a closely contested final, Linda defeated magda linette ofPoland 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a contest that lasted more than twohours, watched by a capacity crowd. Linda, in a tight contest, lost the first set, came back strongly inthe second, breaking away from 2-3 to win the next four gamesin a row and pressed home the advantage with 4-1 lead in thefinal set before comfortably winning 6-4 in the end.
