London, Dec 16 (Agency) British racing driver Lewis Hamilton was on Wednesday Knighted for his services to motorsport. The 36-year-old received the honour from Prince Charles during a ceremony at Windsor Castle. Earlier he had been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire(MBE) in 2008 when he won first F1 championship. Sir Lewis Hamilton currently competes in Formula 1 for Mercedes, having previously driven for McLaren from 2007 to 2012 In Formula 1, Hamilton shares a record with Michael Schumacher for having won seven World Drivers’ Championship titles.
