Chandigarh, June 6 (FN Bureau) Neeraj Kumar of Haryana won the gold medal while Mukesh of Rajasthan and Vivan of Maharashtra claimed silver and bronze respectively in cycling singles 3,000m competition in the Khelo India Youth Games on Monday. In women’s singles 2000 meters cycling competition, Pooja of Maharashtra won gold, Jasmeet Sekhon of Punjab won silver and Himanshi Singh of Haryana won bronze medal. In men’s shooting competition, Shiva Narwal of Haryana emerged victorious in 10m Air Pistol event while Samrat Rana of Haryana won Silver, Sahil of Uttar Pradesh settled with Bronze in shooting competition. In Gatka competition, Gursagar of Punjab won Gold, Warispreet of Haryana clinched Silver and Iqmeet of Jammu and Kashmir and Tej Pratap of Chandigarh got Bronze medal. In the women’s 52 kg Thang-Ta competition, Preeti of Haryana won the bronze medal. In the women’s 55 kg weight lifting competition, Usha of Haryana won gold, Boney of Arunachal Pradesh won silver and Sakshi of Maharashtra won bronze.
In women’s 59 kg weight lifting competition, Bhawana of Haryana has won gold, Sonam Singh of Uttar Pradesh won silver and Arunachal Pradesh’s Balo Yalam won bronze medal. In men’s 60 kg weight category wrestling competition, Ravinder of Haryana received gold, Ajay of Maharashtra won silver and Nikhil of Tilangana and Amit Kumar of Delhi won bronze medal. Similarly, in men’s 71 kg weight category wrestling competition, Narender of Haryana won gold, Amit of Haryana has won silver and Sandeep of Maharashtra and Sahil of Haryana have won bronze medals. In men’s Greco-Roman 55 kg weight category wrestling competition, Haryana’s Suraj won gold, Maharashtra’s Vishwajeet won silver and Jharkhand’s Anjeet and Haryana’s Deepak won bronze. In men’s Greco-Roman 65 kg weight category wrestling competition, Yashveer Malik of Chandigarh won gold, Nishant of Haryana won silver and Y. Victor Singh of Manipur and Hariom Puri of Madhya Pradesh won bronze medal. Meanwhile, in women’s 61 kg weight category wrestling competition, Savita of Haryana won gold, Siksha of Haryana won silver and Nikita of Delhi and Rekhajat of Madhya Pradesh won bronze medal. In Men’s Artistic Yoga, Haryana won Gold, while Maharashtra secured Silver and West Bengal won Bronze medal during Khelo India Youth Games 2021.
