Vijayawada, Feb 12 (Agency) Chaladi Satish won two silver medals in the open International Kickboxing Competitions held in New Delhi from February 7 to 11 in the KD Jadav indoor stadium located on the premises of Indira Gandhi sports complex. The third open kickboxing competition was organized by the World Association of Kick boxing Organisation (WAKO) India. Chaladi Satish, who won two silver medals, belongs to Machilipatnam town in Andhra Pradesh. Chaladi Satish fought in the 84 KGs category and defeated Digirev Sukharat of Uzbekistan. He won the second medal by defeating Ranganathan Mohan of Puducchery in the light contact fight. Another player Dasari Manoj also won a silver medal in the tournament.
Earlier, Satish won a gold medal in the national kickboxing competition held in Goa in the 74 category. Satish is the son of senior journalist Chaladi Purnachandra Rao. Chaladi Satish is at present working for an American based company” Centric Consultancy” as senior consultant in Gurgaon. Dasari Manoj fought in the 94 KGs category and won the medal by defeating Rajendran Rajkumar. The Union Sports and Youth services and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Olympic, Khel India recognized the World Association of Kickboxing Organisation, Senior journalist Chaladi Purnachandra Rao said.
