Being part of 83′ is destiny: Sandhu

Mumbai, Dec 13 (FN Agency) Popular singer and actor Harrdy Sandhu, who will be seen playing the role of Madan Lal in the forthcoming 83, says being a part of the film is his destiny and he even shared reasons for his belief. Harrdy Sandhu along with Palak Tiwari was interacting with the media at the success party of song Bijlee Bijlee. When asked about his experience and feelings about being a part of historic sports drama, Harrdy Sandhu said, “I have played for India under 19, but I got injured and couldn’t continue playing, and it is my belief, 83 is for me is destiny, God made me play cricket till nineteen so that years later I can play a role in 83, and I am presenting India in reel-life and winning the world cup. And we shot the film in Lords, the Mecca of cricket” Harrdy played cricket for over a decade as a fast bowler, but suffered a severe elbow injury, forcing him to give up the game in 2007.

He was also part of the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup Indian squad. Further adding, “For me the experience is something which I cannot describe in words. While shooting in Lords, I cried almost every day. The while team cried, we hugged each other and shed some tears. It is a next level thing for me, I am presenting my country, I am beyond stoked” said Harrdy. Harrdy Sandhu also denied the rumors about his releasing songs out of competition. He said, “I am working more because I want to, there is no competition with anyone. Earlier, I’d make a song, and chill, but now I have various songs coming out and I am working more as I want to, I am doing it because I want to, not because there some sort of competition with anyone” The multi-starrer sports drama release on December 24.
