Mumbai, June 21 (Agency) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have revealed the itinerary for India’s highly anticipated T20 International series against South Africa, slated to commence this November. The series will commence with the first match on November 8 at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. Subsequently, the teams will move to St George’s Park in Gqeberha for the second T20I on November 10. The action-packed tour will then head to Supersport Park in Centurion for the third encounter on November 13, culminating with the final showdown at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 16. Expressing confidence in the longstanding cricketing ties between the two nations, Mr. Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, remarked, “India and South Africa have always shared a deep and strong bond, one that both nations take great pride in.
The Indian Cricket Team has consistently received immense appreciation and love from South African fans, and this sentiment is equally strong among Indian fans towards the South African side.” In response, Lawson Naidoo, CSA Chairperson, conveyed gratitude to the BCCI for their steadfast support, highlighting the excitement surrounding the impending tour. “Any visit by the Indian cricket team to our shores is filled with amazing camaraderie and thrilling cricket,” he noted, emphasising the eager anticipation among fans eagerly awaiting the series.
