Anurag meets Shikhar under ‘Sampark Se Samarthan Maha Abhiyan

New Delhi, July 3 (FN Agency) Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur met Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and co-founder of Boat Company Aman Gupta on Sunday under the BJP’s Sampark Se Samarthan Maha Abhiyan. During this, Thakur apprised both dignitaries about the work and achievements of the Modi government in the last nine years. Thakur said, “Today we met a young entrepreneur and co-founder of Boat Company, Aman Gupta ji, who has raised the name of India all over the world.

When we talk about Brand India, on the one hand, Modi ji is leading it, and on the other hand, our young entrepreneurs are taking it further with their hard work and dedication. Today, Indian brands are making their way into the world market due to the strong leadership of their founders and the policies of the Modi government. I believe that in the same way, the country also needs stability to move forward, which is only possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and the BJP government.” The Union Minister further said, The Modi government has always worked on the policy of making our youth ‘job givers’ rather than ‘job seekers’. Due to the policies of the Modi government, today India has become the third largest startup ecosystem hub in the world.” Gupta, the young entrepreneur and co-founder of Boat Company, said, Earlier, we did not have a strong and clear vision for startups and entrepreneurs in India. When Prime Minister Modi went to America recently, the whole world accepted us as the Next Big Thing. Today, Startup Day is not celebrated anywhere else in the world, only in India.

“Earlier, entrepreneurship was in the hands of a few; today it has been democratised.” The country has seen political stability in the last nine years. I hope it will continue further. Earlier, no one even thought about Make in India and Made in India. Modi ji thought about it and did it. Today, we are making electronic goods in India. Earlier, people used to make fun of making electronic goods in India. Today it is possible.” On meeting cricketer Shikhar, Thakur said, “We have told Shikhar ji about the achievements of the government and sought his and the sports community’s support. During the Modi government’s tenure in the last 9 years, India has seen a 360-degree change in sports.” Former captain of the Indian cricket team and international cricketer Shikhar said, “We are proud to see the achievements of the government. Today, the sports process and infrastructure of the entire country is getting stronger. Today, we feel proud wherever we go. Earlier, we used to be called Sone ki Chidiya; we are moving in the same direction today.” Thakur further said, “Both the dignitaries appreciated the policies of the Modi government to promote sports and provide opportunities to the youth and expressed their enthusiasm and satisfaction over India’s growing dominance and India’s favourable position on the economic front as well.”
