Bhopal, Dec 21 (Agency) India’s ace cueist Pankaj Advani successfully defended his national title defeating Dhruv Sitwala 5-2 in the final here. Both play for Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB). This is Advani’s 34th national title in total and 11th in the senior category. “Never easy to play against your best friend in a big match. Dhruv Sitwala was exceptional throughout the tournament,” the two-time Asian Games gold medalist tweeted. “Thrilled to win this title after two disappointing snooker events.
Looking forward to some time off the green baize and chill a little,” he added. Earlier in January, the ace Indian defeated 2018 world champion Sourav Kothari 5-2 to clinch his 10th national title. Advani has 23 world titles to his name in all the formats of Billiards and Snooker.
