Hyderabad, Jul 7 (Agency) Ms Y S Sharmila, the daughter of late Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and younger sister of AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, will launch her new political Parry ‘ YSR Telangana Party’ (YSRTP) here on Thursday in connection with her father’s birth anniversary. Announcing her arrival in Telangana politics by declaring to launch her new party at function hall on Thursday evening, Sharmila will unveil her new party flag, theme and the agenda of the party.
The inauguration meeting will be a low-key affair due to the pandemic and it is expected 20,000 loyalists will attend. Sharmila’s mother YS Vijayamma will be present. Unlike in the past ,Sharmila will go directly to Idupalapya in Kadapa ( Andhra Pradesh) to pay tributes to her late father while her brother (Jagan) is expected to visit the Samadhi in the evening tomorrow. Invitations were extended to all the political parties including TRS, Congress and BJP in the state. Party leaders personally handed over the invitation to TJS (Telangana Jana Samithi) Chief M Kodandaram and former TDP leader and BC leader R Krishnaiah. TRS was launched when Andhra Pradesh was undivided, Mr Kodandaram floated TJS in April 2018 and YSRTP will be the second big regional party in the state.
