UP CM Yogi appeals to people to vote for double engine government in Odisha

Banapur, May 23 (Representative) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday appealed to the people of Odisha to vote for a double engine government in the state citing the brightest example of Uttar Pradesh which, he said, had witnessed a faster growth in all sectors during the last ten years. Addressing his first electioneering in Odisha in the Chilika Assembly constituency under the Puri parliamentary constituency, going to polls on May 25, Yogi said only a double engine government can bring the much desired development in the state which is lagging under the 24 years ruling of Naveen Patnaik government. Accusing the BJD government of adopting an appeasement politics, the UP Chief Minister said his counterpart in Odisha is now surrounded by bureaucrats who are running the governance in the state instead of it being run by the elected representatives.Yogi said in the state where the bureaucracy takes control of the governance, autocracy and corruption prevails and the people suffer a lot while the development takes a back seat encouraging mafia raj in all fields.

He said in Odisha, the land mafias, the sand mafias, mining mafias and the cattle mafias need the Bulldozer treatment as is being done in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said the situation in Odisha has come to such a precarious stage that even the Sri Jagannath temple is not safe under the present government, citing the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar( temple treasury) of the Jagannath temple for the last several years. He accused Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of protecting the killers of Swami Laxmananda and taking credits of the welfare schemes implemented by the Modi government by pasting his photo while citing the case of free ration provided by the Modi government.Yogi said “you have realized the transformation of a New India in all spheres under the leadership of Modi ji during the last ten years in which the country’s border is safe while the terrorism and Naxalism have been fully under control”. He said the situation has come to such a stage that even in a small bombing case in the country, Pakistan is coming forward to clarify that they have no role in the incident.

The UP Chief Minsiter said there are people in the country who live here but speak for Pakistan stating that they are most welcome to go to Pakistan.Yogi said he had toured as many as 12 states during the last five phases of elections and found there is only one slogan reverberating the country “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar” and “Abaki Bar 400 Paar.” He said there is no point of wasting your vote to Biju Janata Dal as the party cannot form the government with 21 MPs and asked the people to vote for BJP both in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. The UP CM, during his electioneering, also addressed another public meeting under Mahanga Assembly constituency falling under Kendrapara Parliamentary constituency where BJP Vice President Baijayant Panda is in the fray.
